Four Friends.

This is a Buddhist parable about four friends: an elephant, a monkey, a rabbit, and a quail, originating from the Jataka Tales... These four animals were respectively the previous lives of the arahants Maudgalyayana, Sariputta, Ananda, and the Buddha Shakyamuni.

The painting teaches most of the etiquette values of Bhutanese people, such as respecting elders, cooperation, and generosity.
